here,s my take so far on this unit i get no real depth 2 to 4 inch,s it hits good 5 to 6 inch,s grap shot ive buried a quater at 6inch,s in std settings i can,t hear it pro zero iron zero all metal setting i barly know anything is there never would have dug that quater had i not known it was there pro,s its fun in the water on hot day no worries getting it wet found a few things no gold still loves bottle caps did get a couple of nickles hard to judge the depth in the water pin pointing is super good but at 4 inch,s it should be very puzzled by my depth issues as post here speak very well in this reguard utube video,s showw good depth findings i ve tried many settings ground balance sensativity settings and discrimination,s just not getting the depth ifeel i should my old bounty hunter 505 beat the pro in depth im thinking something is just not working right any insight fromyou guys would be helpful ever tried the factory reset i feel 6 inch target,s even in std coin settings should hit loud and clear help needed im very diiapointed had great expectations of this unit from what ive read here bummer mind set at this time

Sounds like it is not ground balanced. Set the iron discrimination to 0 and then find some clean ground to balance over.

The target ID is not going to be as accurate on deep targets--they read a lower ID #.

I know some people do not agree with this, but a faster sweep speed is needed for deep targets--at least with the 5x8 double d coil. Just do an air test on a coin and see for yourself. A slow sweep speed with the coil a foot above the target will miss it. Speed up your sweep speed and the target will sound off strong.

The two detectors might look the same on the outside, but inside there are many differences that will take some time for you to learn. And of course the deep good targets are small size and faint tone. Sometimes no ID #.

thanks i,ll try the gb withiron at zero not sure if i did it like that or not the detector does run quiet not like my explorer i like the silence more relaxing used to run my xlt in silent search cleaned all my connections tonite will try again tomorow may be just learning curve
