Went out to the same lot again today and hit another first. I spent about two hours there and the only really good signal that I got was a 86 that came in loud and clear. I popped out the plug turned it over and just like the 1904 O there on the bottom of the plug was silver. I didn't even notice the difference between the eagles on the coins until I got it home & put it under water. My bets Guess is that it is a 1923 s standing liberty, I guess this because the only number you can clearly see is a 3 and the position of the 3 there can not be any other date. Both of these quarters have been the first of each that I have found. After looking in the red book I wish the date was as clear as the rest of the coin it would be grand. I am going back to the lot and hope to find another first, that would be a coin minted in the 1800's.
