Two days in a 40s era site with E-Trac

I was lucky enough to get a permission for a change! A few hours yesterday and today carefully probing and digging tiny plugs in manicured grass. The dry soil conditions are a bummer. Leaving lots of pennies, and probably some dimes in the ground, but hopefully will be able to return in the fall or spring. Still have a few more areas to cover tomorrow.

Nick! Dude you are the man. Check that place after a good rain. With targets like that first go around. Bound to be much more cross searching the site.

I was just wondering what that coin was that is in the middle of the 7 silvers is. I'm Canadian and I thought I new most of your coinage. I just don't recall an obverse like that on a coin. Thank you. Wayne.

It is a Philippines 20 Centavos. The Philippines were a commonwealth of the US from 1935-1946. Definitely an odd one to show up in Ohio! I'm attaching a pic of a sample that shows both sides.
