Two day relic hunt with my CZ 3D

Digger70pa

Well-known member
I went relic hunting this weekend. Most of the targets were 8" or more. Today I dug 51 targets. I'm tired.

Do you swing the 10.5" coil primarily for increased depth or increased coverage?

What did the bullets register on tid and what tone did they give off?

Hey when you find a truck like that do you get to keep it ??? J/J  I used my husband's and really liked it.. In fact, I am looking for one now. LOL !!!

Did you use any discrimination? If so what setting!

I run in the discriminate mode & accept everything. I like to hear all 4 tones. The really deep bullets will burp iron & high tone. They will pinpoint very small & soft. I dig a lot of small pieces of cut nails though, But I dig deep good things this way. As long as the signal doesn't stutter I'll dig it.

Pretty impressive number of finds!!

Got three things going for me. Good equipment, Good location & Good luck.:fisher:

Hi Digger,

I really can't fault your success but in my neck of the woods an iron and high tone 'burp' is a sure sign of an iron false... usually a buried rusty nail. I never dig those signals.

But I rarely dig deep bullets...

First thing is I have to find good things in the area. Then I dig all deep questionable targets. If the are deep & don't stutter there coming out of the ground. I do dig a lot of cut nails, but I dig 10" bullets too.
