Two copper/brass coins?

Posted these earlier in the Minelab forum but should have put them here first.
The two coin shaped objects have ridges around the edges like quarters and are about the size of silver dollars.
One has what looks like a small stamp on it the size of a dime the other has what looks like a sunburst on one side and a Eagle on the other side.
They are not in good shape at all the one with the sunburst has a Bend in it from a plow blade or something many years ago.
If anyone know what these could be please let me know.
Both found at a old plantation site from the early 1800's along the Mississippi river in La.

Sorry about the quality of the pictures I will try to get some better shots of them latter with a different camera.
