two coils

just got the ace 250 sport pack it came with 2 coils the standard coil and the bigger coil....what is the bigger coil for?
 
More for open areas where there is less trash!
 
I used the large coil for the beach, smaller coil for the parks and tot-lots and a sniper coil at tot-lots to get close to the metal poles without picking them up.
