Twin Indians:

What a beautiful day for detecting. Larry was on his way home from Iowa when my mom and I was playing in the dirt here in Eureka. I found 4 Wheats, an Indian Cent, 4 Memorial cents and a live .38 caliber cartridge. Luck have it that an officer was driving by and I waved him down. I didn't want anything to do with a live round. He thought the bullet was pretty cool and was taking his fingernail to it to see what caliber. :yikes: Mom had enough detecting by then, plus the sky was getting pretty dark. After Larry got home, we had to go hit my friends yard again. I found another wheat cent and another Indian. Both Indians are 1906 and the oldest Wheat is 1914. No "D". :( I think I cleaned out three of the old beaver-tail pull tabs in the yard, besides that there wasn't much trash at all. I was using my stock coil and when I would sweep over the Indian Cents the signal would bounce up and down. That's the way they usually sound. Larry did pretty good also. He found two Mercury dimes and a couple of Wheats. It amazes me what is in the yards around here. Can't wait to go back and try some more. Thanks for looking and HH to all, Nancy

Nice Indians. You are lucky to find them. I don't find many of them around these parts. Thanks for sharing. HH Dennis in Idaho

Thanks you both. The signal is so jumpy and as long as it goes into the 70's.....I'll dig it hoping for an Indian. It jumps from 40's - 74 on the VDI. I love it when I pull an Indian out. Thanks so much, Nancy

One little two little three little Indians, four little five little six Indians....I think thats what Custer said
only with a few expletives that can't be said here!
Now that we've seen your two, we're expecting to see some more real soon!
