Twilight Zone Comparison- 3 Modes vs 2knobs & a Toggle

Lost count, but over the years ,say about a dozen machines with (I'd estimate) a combined 3-4 hundred modes have been reviewed. Here's my ground zero review. Terrain, beaten town park with sports field. Entry level ten year old machine. Modes, relic, metal, jewelry, coins. Took this baby around the pavilion / concession stand. Tipped with 4.5"Sniper coil. Using Jewelry mode.
Normally this old gal is a little slow, but sharpens up with smaller coil. Sniffed out $4.76 out of a sea of foil, pull tabs. Included 3 nickels & a wheat penny. Next
Beep & Dig model featuring , 2 knobs (sensitivity & discrimination) One toggle [good ground / bad ground] Invaded grassy parking lot with 7" coil on this piece. Found out this machine could rule out light foil better, but larger pieces of Alum. sucked me in as quarter's more often. Tap, tap hits harder on the good stuff, but of course gotta dig the iffy signals. (With younger ears, this machine would be a killer) Only pulled $2.37 out of this mess. Buuut, eye balled a like new Polaroid Sun glasses. This pair valued $75 over the counter. (Amazon) Soooo, better than average day.
Couple guys pulled up as I was leaving. "Find any Silver?" "Naw just Junk." "Pulled a Merc dime outta here last year!" "Really!" I said. They did have a couple of manuals & a Smart phone with tips.

LoL

A few of those machines have turned out to be Hall of fame status too....just a few though

You hunting with a BFO? (put it in mineral and find black sand....that sometimes contains gold?) :smoke:
Some modes are a bit misleading, or the detectors don't work worth a darn....put it in "gold" and it 'hoovers' up aluminum? Used a mine detector... never found a mine. :poke:
They should sell them to fishermen too.....they seem to work admirably finding worms.

No BFO. Ace 250 vs Mojave. But your right about one thing, the Robins hop along behind me feeding on the worms.
