TV News a few moments ago: Erosion unearths Surf City munitions

My wife just called my attention to a news story on Fox News here in NYC about ocean activity eroding the beach(es) and unearthing unexploded ordnance being found in Surf City (NJ) beach. I didn't see or hear the whole thing but I did find an online article about it and here is the URL for it:

One thing I did see when I looked around my monitor to see her TV and that was a shot of the sign warning about digging deeper than 12" and underneath that it said NO METAL DETECTORS.

Thats one surprise I wouldn't want.. I wonder if they wouldn't be looking for volunteers to at least mark targets for them though.
