I was able to hit an elementary school today before it got too hot. Our temps here have been over 100 most of last week and today was no exception.
My intention was to check VDI #s and sizing %s on some targets. My first target came in at 62 and 69%. It was a sterling ring shown below with turtles around the band. It wasn't deep, only about 3" and I really expected a zinkie. Next target was the small heart ring, about 6 feet from the first ring. VDI was a 17 and % 98. Pretty fresh loss and shallow.
36 coins later I found the 24" copper neck chain about 4" deep. VDI was 42 and 72%.
I don't normally use the analysis screen, but since some posters have mentioned it recently, I thought I would give it a go. I still won't ever use it regularly, just seems like a waste of time. As for the jewelry today and the VDI's, I think most of us would have dug them any way.
It was a good 1.5 hour hunt, Then I went home for some ice water.
I was using Mixed Mode Pro, RX gain 12, AM 75 and Disc 90, 5.0 band pass and recovery delay at 70
