Turnaround time?

How long has anyone had to wait on an AT Pro repair once sent in to Garrett? Ive read where some of the units were actually replaced but what about the repaired ones, is that done fairly quick?

It is done in lightening speed......they shipped mine back in 1.5 days after they got / received mine at there service dept. Depending on your location....it could be very quick...mine was 1 1/2 weeks because I have a 4-5 day ship time from Wis each way

I recently sent mine back. I never checked the serial number to see if I got the same one back. It went out on a Wednesday came back 12 days later working fine. I was having a software issue of it not saving settings when it was turned off. It still worked fine, though. Works like it is supposed to now.

If mine takes 12 days turnaround I will be a very, very unhappy camper to put it mildly!! I don't know why they can't give better customer service. I will not name the manufacture but I had a problem with a HIGH end machine, they immediately 2 day mailed me out a brand new complete detector, a prepaid return label, AND an extra....free rechargeable battery!! Now THAT is customer service...I had a new working replacement in 2 days, a very nice bonus, and it cost me absolutely nothing, nadda, zip. Garrett is actually a larger company and they refused to due any such thing for me. I even offered to give them my CC number and said if I don't ship this broken one back...charge me for a new one....Nope! I say when a detector is less then 2 months old and goes South...it should be an automatic new unit shipped out to you and should not cost you anything to ship the broken one back. Its not like these AT Pro's are that expensive to manufacture and one's they can salvage and fix get sold as refurbished units. Yes...I am unhappy I am without my AT Pro...I live a block from the beach, it is packed thanks to us Finally getting some warm weather, people are in the water....possible items being lost...and here I sit watching other hobbiests working the waters I should be in right now! Its taking all my self control to not go buy this other water detector I have been eyeing...oh please God give me the strength to resist this temptation!!

EDIT: Ok...I have calmed down alittle...I'm just having seperation anxiety!

Thanks everyone. Anything under 2 weeks I would consider excellent service, that would include shipping time conus.

I couldn't resist the temptation, used Tiger Shark on the way.

Oh well, you only live once!

NY to Garland, TX. I sent it USPS. It arrived in Garland on Friday morning. I did not check when it was shipped back but as I wrote I got it back 2 Mondays later.

Thier service is great. I had a Pro-Pointer that was returned and back to me in less than a week. It was replaced not repaired. GTI sent in over the Winter just to be checked out in less than 2 weeks. I think the best day to ship back to them would be Monday. They'd have mid week and probably return by Friday. Back at my place the following Monday or Tuesday.
