OK it's a metal one. What were you thinking...............
Found most of these in a spare hour next to the support poles at a park in the chips. I was using the sniper of course. The small silver bracelet oddly hit at nickle but after recovering barely hits at low foil. Anyway the 250 got it for me. Thanks for looking.

Kenny, chains dont appear as a solid mass, but instead the detector is forced to try and see individual links. Most detectors have a hard time seeing them at all!

good finding

I have found only a few chains over the years but this one is the smallest. It has to be for a baby. When I saw it the first time I couldn't believe the Ace saw it at all.

Bill,
Do you want the rocker switch to be normaly off and momentary on? Or lock off and lock on. Or lock on and off in the middle and momentary on. After you tell me how you want it then I'll have to search for a switch. I will try and see if it can be done. What are you going to do with the hand grip because it would get in the way?

I was thinking of just a squeeze trigger, normally off and on when you squeeze it. Course a three way toggle might be okay. As for the grip I was thinking cut a square hole in the grip the size of the switch and if need be put some spacers under the mounting plate on the switch to raise it up to proper finger contact.

Bill

Bill,
What about a push button? I think it would work without any shimming and the grip would only have a small hole in it. It would be momentary on when pulled. Also the smallest rocker switches require at least a half inch square hole and that would weaken the shaft.

I have checked 5 sources of switches and can not find a rocker that is small enough to fit. Also the only push button switches that will fit has only a tiny 1/8 diameter button. I don't think that would be comfortable. The nice larger push button switches need to have a 5/8 inch mounting hole. That would be too big as the rod itself is only about 3/4 inch. I will still look but it seems slim as of now.

Might work. I'll look around here and see what I can dig up. WE have a huge electronics store here. I've seen the narrow concave switches but can't remember where except maybe on commercial construction jobs I have been on - high rises, malls, hospitals, casino/hotels, government facilities and bases, etc.

Bill

bill the freedom series had the same switches they were called rocker switches i still have my three freedoms and they pinpoint right on.
