I've got the XLPro after starting with the Ace 250. Still learning it.
I have 2 questions
1) when I start the air tune process, holding it off the ground about 12 inches or so, sometime, it won't beep, if I toggle the toggle switch a few times, then, it usually will beep. What is out of adjustment?
2) Read the Discrimination Book several times through. He mentions in the book need to listen for the "faint sounds." Also I've read about that term several times on the board. Would someone explain what a faint sound sounds like other than faint. Is it a barely audible beep, a swish, a poooof, or what? I have only found 1 silver dime in all my hunting. I've found about two quart jars of regular clad coins, a few simple rings, and some other jewelry. I know in these areas, there has to be some silver.
Presently using the White's Blue 5.3 coil Max coil, along with the standard coil. Have the snooper coil, but haven't used it, yet. Hunt in GEB DISC mode, sens.bal about 2:00 and tuner threshold just audible. Use a pair of Treasure Wise inexpensive headphones, but they seem to work okay. All help greatly appreciated.
