Tungsten Ring

I'm trying to find a friends lost mens tungsten wedding band. We know the location, about a 15 x 15 foot area but it is SUPER trashy with iron, aluminum, copper and other junk.

I have a T2 Classic and a Tesoro Cibola. Could anyone advise which detector may be best for this and how much Disc to use. Thanks in advance.

I just tested 2 different tungsten rings on my old whites 5900.. both read out with a vdi lower than nickles and started fading out with disc turned up to 50%-60%..

Air test another Tungsten, Mark the vid, go from there. If area is that bad drag a heavy magnet around and clear all the iron/ steel out first. Than dig the shallow targets.

You have a tall order. I agree with Dancer but that won't help with the nonferrous trash.
I was faced with a simpler task but the fellow had a similar tungsten band , 6mm I think vs the 8mm he lost. It tested just below the zinc pennies (etrac)and right in the same area as 3/4" galvanized roofing nails of which there were many dozens laying around(he had just re-roofed also). Unfortunately , we couldn't do the magnet thing because he lost the ring while covering the suspected area with 4" diameter river rock for landscaping. I told him the sentimental value of the ring is more than the metal but still not enough to justify the effort to move all the rock.

Golden Sabre with accept only mode tuned on to tungsten only and you got it. Old school or max should work just fine. John
