I stopped off at the park I've been working for awhile now, as the park I went to yesterday is in the opposite direction as my job, and I didn't have the time or gas to stop there.
I started searching an area, near where I had found the two silver dimes last Friday. Again, I didn't have a whole lot of time, so I was "cherry-picking". I was listening for those deep-sounding coin hits. After a few minutes, I got one, a solid four-way High Coin hit from an indicated 5". I quickly cut a plug, flipped it over, scanned, target's in the hole. I started scooping out loose dirt, still no target. I scanned the hole with my Vibraprobe, and got a hit at 6 o'clock. I popped out a divot of dirt and saw a reeded silver edge. Sweet! Here she is:

This makes my 7th silver quarter this year. This is now my best year for silver quarters. I'm up to 36 silver coins, so I think it's feasible that I might bust my all-time yearly silver total of 50, weather permitting.
As I continued searching along, I got into a nest of Wheat's. They were all at an indicated 5", within a couple feet of the boundary of a wood-chip tot-lot. All totalled, I recovered 7 Wheat's, dated '40, '44, '54, '54D, two '55D's, and a '57D. This tot-lot must have originally been larger, as I was pulling up wood chips with the Wheat's. I seem to remember last year, when I pounded this site, I was getting Wheat's a little way's off, around 5 - 6" down, mixed in with wood chips.
