TTF

Does it make any sense to hunt in TTF all the time , or is it just best for high iron areas?
I haven't tried it yet but after reading about it, seems like a pretty easy way to separate the trash from the treasure no matter where you are hunting.

TTF is only really selective for a Ferrous or Non-ferrous choice, if the trash is non-ferrous you will still get a high tone. I only use TTF in iron patches or areas (beach) where I want to dig all non-ferrous items on an open screen.

The real advantage is that because there is no blanking of the iron (rou get a low tone), nearby coins are not masked as well and you can squeek out a high tone. Very good in iron patches, out of Iron I'll run my conductive multi-tones mode.

You can use TTF all the time if you like but you need to check the ID to know where you are on the conductive scale.
