TTF?

i normally run ttf with a wide open screen in iron infested sites. some people run it with a little disc i prefer not too

You do NOT want to disc out that much if using TTF, it would be worthless, the point is to hear all targets, so you get NO nulling, therefore you hear the good target right beside the iron

I run my Etrac exclusively now in all metal mode . TTF working good for me. Just have to be tolerant of all the noise.

My TTF pattern is the Minelab coin program with an open screen at the bottom (leaving the small blacked out area at the top center). I hunt in TTF wherever I get nulling and swap to conductive when I here no iron (I have either pattern saved and it is only a few button lpushes to swap out). The conductive is much easier and like hunting on autopilot because of the high tones for good coin targets, but doesn't work as well in iron laden areas without slowing way down. TTF causes you to pay much closer attention.

I used this method Sunday afternoon and found a 1948D Roosevelt along with a 1945 P silver nickel while hunting in TTF. Due to the amount of iron in the ground all around the coins, the conductive method could see the coins only if you went VERY slow.

TTF has opened up a lot of areas to hunting again and my buddies and I (hunting with ETracs) are finding lots of silver in iron laden areas that cannot be seen in conductive mode.

I always run auto sensitivity too to let the machine set it based on ground conditions.

Happy hunting and I hope you like your ETrac as much as I lkie mine!
