TTF

I'm wanting to try TTF and have a couple of questions. Is it better to use a small coil rather than the stock 11" when using TTF? If so, what coil would you suggest?

I only have the stock coil right now and have used TTF about 6 times and it will find coins that you have missed before due to iron. I have problably dug 60 coins in areas that I have already pounded hard. No silvers yet but any one of those could have been. I have gotten a couple Indians and lots of wheaties that I have walked over a bunch of times. I will be ordering the 6x8 sef coil next week as I am sure that it will be even better in TTF due to separation abilities. I have been undecided on either the 6x8 sef or the 6" excellerator EQ2 coil and I think it will be the 6x8. I am sure other who have used TTF longer than I have will chime in soon. Good luck.

I tried to order the 6x8 and the EQ2 but kellyco was out of them in Febuary and could'nt tell me how long I would have to wait so I got the sun ray X5. There all great coils and I can say I really like the X5 and its ability to separate targets. I've been using Bills Trashy Park modified program in TTF and have found 2 Roseys and 1 Merc in the last two days. Love the X5 and Bills modified TPP the both work just fine.

When the trash gets really bad a smaller coil is usually better. I tried Bill_S's new TTF approach on a really bad spot that I'd even given up with the Etrac and with it and the X-5 I did snag some more coins. All depends on the site I'd think.

The procoil is still pretty awesome at finding coins in HIGH iron when using TTF, in fields I use the 6x8 a lot but have still had a lot of luck with the procoil there as well.
You will still find coins you missed, even with the procoil
