was itching to go play with TTf again, but mother nature is not helping. Had a little break in the rain so, went back to the park I pulled the half dime out of. only got about a half hour in because of the rain, but did manage to squeak out anther good one. 1864 Indian. This one was only about 3 inches deep and came in at 12-33. It had iron on both sides of it. was using the sunray x-8 today. I am sure that helped pick it out. Unfortunatley, this one is holed also, but I take them all day long. :detecting:

That sure looks like a pointy bust to me, if so then you got yourself a 1864L, which is a sem key, google 1864L vs 1864 indian in the images too see the difference, but Im pretty sure ou have the L variety there! Congrats!

Thanks for pointing that out. I googled it up. My eyes are not what they used to be and I had my daughter take a look for me. She swears she can see the L in the ribbon and she pointed out the point on the bust. I also post on another site that a buddy of mine has here in Indiana. He saw it and said the same thing. Looks like we got a keeper. :clapping:

Nice old Indian !
