TTF, laziness and 13" ultimate

Ok, I have to tell this story. Went hunting(or tried too)Saturday here in northern Michigan and it was just nasty. Snow, drizzle, wet and muddy. We started off at a 100+ year old church camp that has been hunted allot but is always good for a target or two. This is a good place to use my 13" ultimate coil because not very trashy. Only found some clad and the coil kept getting covered in slush and weighing a ton. We then moved a little south to a old two story school that had no snow on the ground but this place is so trashy, it has trash fifty feet out from the actual building in all directions? I decided to hunt in TTF but was too lazy to take my 13" coil off. At that point I was wet and muddy and cold. Normally I would switch to my 6x8 sef coil. Even with the big coil I manged to pull out two wheaties amongst constant grunting of iron. I showed a new hunting partner I was with and he was amazed how TTF works. He could not even hunt this spot with his xlt because of the trash. I am amazed at how the 13" ultimate coil can separate and also how TTF settings will weed through the trash and find the good stuff. HH all.

good stuff...lol

buy yourself some extra rods upper and lower and changing coils can be done in under 2 minutes

TTF is the bomb diggety. I have found that it doesn't really matter what coil is on there ...it matters more if you know how to use it. I am gonna get me a 8x6 SEF later this year. Seems like a good field coil for the etrac when relic hunting.
