TTF and open screen??

Hi everyone, I have a question on TTF. Until now I have been using the relic screen with TTF but I thought I read somewhere that some people were using a completely open screen when running TTF. Is this true? If not how open of a screen?

I believe I read somewhere that this guy uses a full open screen, when using ttf. The less discrimination you have the better depth you'll get. I haven't tried ttf yet.

Yes when running TTF I use a completely open screen, response is better with zero nulls, even if u use the relic screen it will null over nails. I used to use the relic screen but after a lot of time in the fields where houses were tore down, even that little tiny corner being blacked out made the etrac null. So open screen for me if using TTF. I need to update my website info for TTF

Ok, Thanks. Terry, I thought I read in a older post that you started using a completely open screen so I wanted to double check. I Will completely open mine before I go out again. Thanks guys and HH.

Goes4Ever, I've been running TTF with only a 1 wide line at the very top and very bottom. Would you advise against even this amount of disc?

I found the half dime (posted a couple of days ago) using TTF open which I had never used before in that area. That will be the only program I use in that park of the park for now on.

I used to do the same thing, but now feel 100% open is the best way, try it out and see what you think

Open screen at all times. Relics screen was still nulling a lot for me. I pulled out a 1907 Canadian penny in my former hunted out spot 2 days ago. Nails everywhere and a 1907 Canadian penny is the size of a quarter. Many Garretts, Whites & Tesoros have been over this spot the last 20 + years. See my post "I am amazed".
