Trying to set examples for the younger set and others is difficult

sometimes. It isn't always what we say, what we do or other things. Sometimes 'appearance' is what our youth are caught up on. Fleshly lusts of this world being shoved at them at every turn.

I bought a t-shirt in Lansing about the end of August. I liked the design and the wording. (And it was on sale - God is always good to us). It has a small wooden maltese cross on front

On the back was this:

I wore this shirt many times and always got at least one compliment on it each day I wore it. Wore it all the weekend of our 4th anniversary in Charlevoix, MI and the travels we took. Always compliments. And with it being Labor Day weekend the towns were all packed.

The card that was attached to the shirt explains something I didn't know:
"Did you know that the average Christian T-shirt is read over 3,000 times before it goes to the yard sale?"
"You can impact your world for Jesus Christ simply by changing your shirt! So what are you waiting for? Change your shirt, change the world!"

I don't necessarily care to adverise for any company but you see the impact of what we wear can make on others. And in this day our youth need to see dressing for Jesus can give them some positive strokes so they too will dress appropriately.

In case you want to see what this old coot looked like the weekend before his hospital stay here is a pic of me:

scary eh? But not as scary when I see the white of my beard and Sherry says my face was that white before I got stablized. (I now feel even more that I need to live for Him). May anyone seeing this t-shirt be blessed.

a lot of emotional stuff to work through because of this all.

Ask Mike from MI what I said about acid reflux in the private message - think you will be amazed

Satan can only use that which is common to man - he is one nasty sneak! But in the end he will be rewarded accordingly.

Thanks again Greg for the prayers.

it sure was crowded at the foot of the throne of Grace when everyone came in in urgency to plead for me. I can't imagine the sheer numbers with the CMD forum praying, at least 3 churches and their prayer teams, Sherry, Casey, family - of many denominations and so many others we don't know of as word spread fast to even people we didn't know directly - but all members of our family of Christ.

Thanks Joe and to Vicky for your prayers. Getting physically well will take time and we sure have some emotional things to deal with is also something we have to do. I don't think Sherry or I want to be far from each other at any time - at least for now.

keep on growing that beard! Looks good! :) There are two guys on this forum that are good friends all because of a witness shirt!

young relatives this winter.

I trimmed it - it was much scruffier before I trimmed it.

That is a great shirt Pete!! I'll take one in x-tra large!
Glad you are home...still praying for ya !!

and the maker of it doesn't seem to be carrying it any more. eBay may have some - do a search for Kerusso or He Died For Me or Christ For Life. I do know where one can get some - from the Bikers for Christ Motorcycle Ministry (a group I am going to be joining once the application is accepted). Their website for their 'goodies' (BFC support items) is here:
http://www.bikersforchrist.org/sitemap.htm

Price there is $20 for S-XL and $25 for larger - add $5 for shipping.

I don't get anything out of the purchases which in effect are donations which help keep the motorcycle ministry alive.

I think if the eBay items are of equal value I'd spend the money with the BFC - being a Christian based organization. Personal preference though.

I think I did see someone selling the shirts on eBay but can't say if he is a Christian or not.

This isn't meant to be an advertisement for anyone or anything - because you mentioned where to get one I'd give some info.

Even a little thing like this can be used by God to increase his fold! God Bless!
