Hey Rick,
How you doing, Check out the Olympus C4000. I was viewing some pictures on another forum. Dynamite close-up of coins, if thats what your looking for. This has 4 megapixels and a lot of something??? Costco has it for $419.00.
Hope this helps.

If you are on a budget the Fuji Finepix 2650 is the best 2 megapixel camera out there. You can pick it up for only $197 at Target stores. Other places like KMart also have it for $199. Havent found any better deals online since i bought mine a month ago so may be better to get it in a store where its easily returned for repairs, exchange, ect. I read tons of websites and forums before I bought it and i couldnt be happier. Awesome macro (close-up) shots, great color reproduction and the menus on the camera are real easy to learn.
Showed the camera and the photos it takes to a few people i know and two of them allready went out and bought the same camera. There are better digital cameras out there but they are alot more money. For a first camera you cant go wrong with the Fuji 2650. If you are willing to spend the extra money look into any of the Cannon digital cameras. They are supposed to be some of the best.
One thing though, buy rechargeable AA batteries and a charger. Most, if not all, digital cameras will go through a ton of batteries. They will pay for themselves in a short period of time. Hope this helps!
