Trying out the T2 in Norway

Roar

New member
Greatings all!
Since the T2 is not available her in Norway, I have been in contact with the Kellyco Detecting store in Florida...I was going for a Whites XLT, but after finding out that the XLT was not that good in or near salt water, they recommended the T2 warmly, and after reading posts here in this forum I was convinced that the T2 was the right machine for me...can't wait to check it out. Here in the middle of Norway we have a lot of historical ground, from the Vikings to the nazi's of World War 2..

Hello Roar,

Looking forward to your future post's made by the T-2 from your area, You live in an extremely old country.

Since you're area is of historical surroundings full of iron, You'll need to take advantage of using zero discrimination with the 2+ audio mode. This
allows the T-2 to get a reduced iron masking effect while allowing those weak good conductive signals to leak through the iron.

For relic searching this is the best set-up, Any form of discrimination will only enhance iron masking.

Keep us posted,
Old Ca.

Let us know how it works out for you.

Good Luck!!!!!

Dean

Hi all

Thank you Dean and Old California for replying to the message! Of course I'll let you guys know of my finds when I get the T2 up and running. Still waiting for the machine to arrive..spending my time going through history books and maps from forgotten years. I will be busy when it arrives because there are so many places of interest in this area. Metal detecting in this area is not a very common "sport" so most places are "virgin" sites, not hunted by many. Old Ca, thank you for the tip on zero discrimination with the 2+ audio mode!! I will surely try it!
Not far from here in a place called "Runde" some guys found the biggest coin find in Norwegian history, a total of 57000 coins from a Dutch ship called "Akerendam", mostly gold coins.
Enclosing some photos from Runde..and I'll keep you posted:)
