Trying ClassRingFinder.com

I found a 1978 woman's Class Ring 3-4 years ago under a swing set at a local small town park. I tried 2 years in a row calling the school asking for help in locating the owner. The gal at the school I spoke with said she even knew the owner, and they attended the school together, but no idea how to locate her.

I also tried the phone listing (which she's likely married and has a different last name), and a Google search....no luck. I hate to scrap the ring, as it would have much more value to the owner than it would to me selling it for scrap (10K), but I'm not gonna keep it forever in hopes of find it's owner.

Anyone ever used the site? Have any luck?

Just called the school again, and told them I'd listed the ring on the ClassRingFinder site. I told her they should print the site in their school paper (if they have one) or make it known to the students somehow. She told me I could bring the ring to the school & leave it.....lol, "no thanks", if someone's gonna scrap it for a few $'s it's gonna be me.

Ask the school who the class president is, he is usually in charge of class reunions and most likely will have the data on the classmate. You could also ask who the parents of the gal is and if still living, will certainly know where she is.

Tried the ClassMates.com (since that's the general hub these days now that we have the internet) already Larry, no luck. I didn't ask the school for the parents contact info because I doubt they'd give to a stranger over the phone (I know I wouldn't want them doing that to me). Besides, if they had the info, one would have to assume (lol, and we know where that get's us) they'd have tried to contact them.....unless they're just lazy & don't really care if she gets it back or not. I'd hope that's not the case.

Appreciate the suggestions though!
