Trying a new process where you create a "planet" out of a panorama shot

Kinda weird but interesting. This was my first attempt using an existing panorama of a farm field but I'll have to try it again as they recommend, using a full 360 degree panorama.

You are very talented with photography.

You're supposed to take a panorama shot all the way around 360 degrees using a tripod. Then you resize the shot to say 800 x 800 then rotate it 180 degrees. Then in photoshop you go to "filters" "distort" "polar coordinates" "rectangular to polar", that's it. Note: When you're trying to resize the panorama to 800 x800 and it won't let you, you have to UNcheck the box that says "constrain proportions". It all sounds complicated but really is only a few steps. Kinda fun trying new things like this.

Thank You, Dave. Very kind of you to share informations here. Tried this last evening but the result wasn't as good as yours. :beers:

Have to play with the settings a lot more.:cam:

I must say that you've done it again Dave. That's very interesting and thanks for the info on how you did it.

Got it done. Hope it is o.k. to you showing my first "Little Planet" on Your thread, Dave, because you planted the inspiration. Thanks for this great art effect and this thread.

Hi Dave,
different than yours, yes, but I don't think it's better.
Like your green little pasture planet a lot. Still waiting for the toy train pass trough.
