Next time you locate a nice deepie...try dropping your gain increments of 1 at a time...and see at what setting the target can no longer be heard by your machine.

Once you have that out of the way..try doing the same with your sensitivity setting and see what happens.

It will give you an idea of just what the machine is capable of.:)
