Well took it for a spin today....gets great depth!......get a little chatty...think its the sensitivity....Seems to work pretty good....not to sure..if it going to be able to take the abuse the Garrett does....seems like the plastic is a little thin?...also seems like turning it off takes a while?....might just be me...have to use it a little more..maybe to get used to it....I feel like with the Garrett...I have a solid pointer..the TRX...I am not to sure...but I love the Depth!!!

I think if we all find the plastic is too thin for our use Whites could respond with a thicker/stronger shell for us. Or it's possible that Whites wanted to reduce some weight (good) by using a little thinner plastic. But then they gave us the option of a replaceable shell to cover any issues. I'll bet the replacement shell cost will be reasonable just like their other replacement parts.

The TRX floats. My guess is you will get a new case during the warranty period.

You read it wrong or I wrote it wrong. In my opinion the TRX is waterproof, Whites doesn't make this claim. It does float. :clapping: In response to a statement about the case being thinner, I was stating the TRX case was made to be replaced easily. I can change the case in well under 5 minutes.

1/2 empty glass of water....Poor fella. ... I don't think so.
