Truck Stuck.. Hiked Out.. But Got Silver

fastdraw

Well-known member
I managed to get my 4x4 truck stuck in the snow and mud at about 7200 feet. Metal Detecting. I had to hike out downhill in the snow for several hours. For a brief time I felt like a member of the Donner Party. I'm going to have to call in to the Post Office tomorrow and tell them I can't show up to work, and somehow get my truck out before the heavy snow hit's... and during the Christmas holidays they will not be happy with me..! But I did find my first Morgan silver dollar..!

Why don’t you carry four mats or something for traction when you you go off main roads .

I’ve been stuck before, also dead battery. Been there done that. Happy hunting.

Too bad not closer.... I would have come helped! Old search and rescue saying..... stay dry, stay warm, stay calm, stay put. In this case you got out alright and thats the primary concern. Silver and snow, hope for us old gray haired guys yet 😂😂

Fastdraw what stare.

Nice find probably worth getting stuck now if you did not find the coin then it would be a different story ! I remember Seinfeld Newman calls out sick if it rains lol

Boy that sure would make a nice Christmas present to me if you were so inclined, and speaking of inclines good luck with the truck. We must be step-brothers, I pulled the same thing once but I was fishing.

Was wondering, fastdraw did you get your truck out? Me and others sure hope so!! Pretty sure
most of us have been there. Only got stuck in snow once, but it was miserable. Good luck.

Thank's for asking Okierebel..
I called my roadside service and they laughed at me when I told them it was at 7200 feet in the snow on some Uncharted dirt road. So now I'm all stressed out...! And I'm at work delivering Xmas mail and parcels.
A friend told me about a Club of Die-Hard 4x4 wheelers. I called them, and told them where the "Hide a Key Was" and within 2 hours after my call... they had five 4x4 trucks on the mountain and pulled me out to, and drove it down the mountain to safety. I've never seen a single face of any of these men. Today I mailed their 4x4 Club a check for $150.00
