Troy Shadow x5

Has anyone used the Troy Shadow x5 what can you tell me about it? I never hear much about it.

I think it's a great, all around machine. Some state they do not get the depth advertised due to their soil conditions, so I am not sure where you are located. It's a great dry sand detector, which I used it for mostly since I mostly beach hunt. Since I am in the water or suds 90% of the time, I ended up selling mine. In the wet sand, it can still sniff out the gold, but you have to set it up correctly.

But, for features, light weight, good depth, faster recovery time , weather resistant and several coil options, it's a great machine. There are a few used ones, in really great condition, for sale. At 600-650, with an additional coil ( the DD would be my first preference as an additional coil) or 2, it's a good buy as it can be your primary detector in all aspects except waist deep and above water unless you want to risk it.
