Troy Shadow X2 Question

I'm curious to know how many of the 9.6 kHz Lady Shadow X2's were produced vs the normal 10 kHz Shadow X2.
Do the Shady Ladies bring a premium or are they priced like a regular Shadow ? I noticed the X2 I picked up earlier this winter was the Lady model designated by the "B" at the end of the serial number and was curious.....thanks.

Roger

Hi Roger......

The production numbers and value on the Lady Shadow, I have'nt a clue and I doubt whether Tesoro could tell you about the production numbers.

I have read that the Lady Shadows were made to operate at a lower frequency to limit cross talk between the regular Shadow X2 when hunting together.

I know my Compadre cross talks horrible with my Toltec ll....... both running at 12 kHz, these two can't hunt closer than 20 yards from each other.

Even when similar frequency detectors are far apart from each other and operating quietly...... I'm suspicious about deminished performance on one or both detectors.

I think Hombre is correct regarding the slightly different frequency of the unit. Value, I honestly don't know.

is that the only way to tell if its a lady shadow? by the B on serial number or is there another way thanks

Just by the B in the serial number is the only way to tell ,and yes it operates in a different frequency from so if you have a male Shadow so to speak you can operate both with no cross talk.I had Two lady shadow I had owned.
