Troy Shadow x2 and Tesoro El Dorado umax comparison

texican

New member
Has anybody used both for coin/relic hunting? I found a both in used condition and would like some opinions on the two units. Thanks

Take the eldo. u-max Great machine as is the x2
You will have a ground balance with this machine
where as the x2 does not. The Eldo.u-max is a
better all around machine that you can use different
coils with and by ground balancing you will not have
to worry about not being in tune... When I find small
gold, (jewelry) my eldo. makes a really unique sound.
That is with very low discrim. Go with the ELDO. U-MAX
Tesoro ROCKS
silverseeker 2

Hi Texican, I agree wholeheartedly with silverseeker 2. Get the Eldo. Both are great machines,"Both"made by Tesoro, and that means same lifetime Waranty. Neither has actual

I have not used the x2, but I recently acquired an Eldorado umax in a 9 out of 10 condition. I really like it so far. It took me a while to hunt it down. Do not pass up the Eldorado Umax. They are getting really hard to find in great condition. The ground balance makes a huge difference. Good luck.

They're both good and I'd try for both as mentioned above. They both use the same coils, but the Eldo definitely has the edge in more mineralized ground due to the manual ground balance. That said, the X2 is a great turn on and go machine for parks, tot lots, fair grounds etc.
