Troy Detectors Question

 Does anyone know if the Troy detectors have the same warranty as the Tesoro detectors? If you have ever had one repaired let me know how it went please. :tesoro:

Tesoro made the Shadow X2. That has a lifetime warranty to the original owner. Troy them went to Fisher to build his other models and now that First Texas bought Fisher, they will not honor the lifetime warranty or even repair them.

 Thanks Robert for answering my question. It is really great to have someone from Tesoro here on the forum to help us! Keep up the good work and have a great day, RDF :tesoro::detecting:

Tesoro will honor the X2 because it was made buy them, I had my X2 serviced by them. The X3 & X5 was made by Fisher thats a whole nother ball game.My X2 was one hot detector after it came back from Tesoro.FYI

Woodchuck: Any idea what the service consisted of? I can't imagine how an X2 service could enhance performance unless the electronics were changed out or upgraded.

.....Yes, Fisher will repair the X3, X5...had it done.....at a fair minimal cost....Great that Tesoro still works on the X2's....

I regret selling my x-2 it was a sweet detector, I found a lot of goodies with it, I won a new detector at a seeded hunt with it , wish I had one back in 1999.
