Got troubles.
My buddy turned on his DFX this morning and the machine says overload.
He has changed the batteries and disconnected the coil.
What else could it be?

[size=large]could check for a dirty coil cover if he uses them. something stuck to the bottom of coil. change out coils to see if problem persist. i know these are simple ya probly thought of them already ideas but there have been times when folks forget the simple things. there is a trouble shooting list in the owners manual i think. pull the battery pack while the machine is on. i bought a electrical wash and opened the battery box and justed sprayed and washed it real good. didn't have a problem. i did it as a preamptive measure.

Have your buddy do a re-boot, it is in the manual, but the short version is this, turn on detector, let it go thru all start up procedures, pull out the battery tray while detector is still on, re install battery after one minute, should do the trick.

Tried a different coil same problem.
Next??????

Tried the reboot.
Everything seems to work, I can navigate through each each screen, but the overload message appears when the machine is ready to hunt.

Did some settings get changed? Try a factory program and if that does not work, it sounds like a call to service.
