Trouble with the pinpoint button

On my last few hunts I have noticed that I have to hit my pinpoint button a few times before it goes on - has this happened to anyone else? I did a restart and that didn't change anything. It is still under warranty, but I am really not excited about having to send it away for what I imagine is a couple months for minelab to fix it.

If you have had this problem and been able to fix it please let me know. I am hoping there is simple fix.

After u have detected the target move your etrac to the left of the target then start pinpointing. Always start from the left this will help. This is what the minelab tec told me and it works mine dose the same as yours

Thanks! I will give that a try and keep my fingers crossed that it solves the problem for me too

About a year ago, I had to send mine in for repair for a problem that sounds like yours. Hopefully that isn't the case for you, since it can wipe out a couple weeks (or more) of detecting time, unless you have a backup machine of some type.......HH
