Trouble with my Tigershark

I have a Tesoro Tigershark and when I turn it on I get the beeps then a solid tone. If I unplug the coil, I also get solid tone. Tried replacing the batteries and no change. I also have 10.5 coil in the mail comming soon. Hopefully the coil is the problem. Anythoughts?

Yep it was the coil, now I guess I need to send off my original 8" coil to Tesoro for service.

Glad to hear it was only a coil, I am wanting a Tiger Shark, so I was keeping an eye on your post.

even if something goes wrong, Tesoro will fix it, great service. But I had a tiger shark and loved it, I never had a problem with mine in fresh water......Always performed great for me, espeically on small gold items like thin chains...
