Trouble shooting Tesoro Stingray I

Hi everybody!

This is the situation:

What can be the problem if:
you can hunt in all metal, you will hear everyting!
When you dicriminate iron, just less than foil than you will not hear a thing!! NOTHING!!, when you increase the discrimination till TAB, you will hear everything, iron included!

Is this machine out of order or what is going on with this machine.

It wasn't a Tesoro but I had a detector that wouldn't disc out anything below copper pennies and dimes no matter how it was set, but it would discriminate out anything higher than a zinc penny when set to reject tabs.. The disc pot was bad. Could be that's the problem with your Stingray.

Sounds like a bad disc pot. Send it in.
