Trips to Mexico

Does anyone every make trips to mainland Mexico for detecting, at the beaches or in the mountains? What experiences have you had?
 
I've been several times. No problem getting detectors into the country. Lots of virgin territory to discover and loads of finds. Great place to go but know where your going and only go with trustworthy guides. Sometimes there's more danger than meets the eye. A uniform doesn't guarantee safety! Good hunting, David@Dixie
 
I lived in Mexico almost 30 years and my principle area to hunt will be the mountains between Guadalajara and Puerto Vallarta, I don't have equipment for nuggets right now maybe in the future. It is a mining area as well as other interesting hunts. Thanks for the advice, what you said is always good,,
