TRIPLE KLONDIKE GOLD STRIKE IN THE MINE ON MONDAY! YEAH, I'M SHOUTING!....

Gulf Hunter

Active member
Went for a solo spin on monday evening, into a 759P -0.3L, to the same surf area that we finished up at sunday evening. Winds were light and variable. Started at a different spot, within the location, that was producing coins and lead. Tides were a little lower than normal, so I took advantage of my ability to hunt deep in the mine, where targets were still showing. I was running the Excal and was in the water by 630P.

Targets were of good density overall and the Excal was sniffing them out DEEPLY. Some were over 2 scoops deep. Can slaw gave me fits, but most of the other targets came quickly to hand.
Total clad take was $2.73. Recovered 2 sports watches. 1 has been down so long, that I cannot read the brand name. It is blue faced and says, submersible to 100 meters, guess not! It is heavily encrusted with barnacles and has been submerged A LONG TIME! I will clean it in the electrolysis and check later for positive ID on this unit. The next watch appears to be stainless, as well and it is flooded. It says water resistant and it is a Seiko. Reckon they'll warranty that unit for me?
The rings just kept coming and I was overstimulated, by the gold sparkling under my headlight. Tryed to keep it together and maintain my composure, but it was very difficult to maintain!

The 1st unit was a 10K fine gold ring, w/red oval shaped stone and 3 CZs on each side. The pic does not do it justice, but Huntress burned her foot cooking dinner and that's all I could get out of her. Now, either nugget rings and jewelry are coming back into vogue or this stuff was old. The 2nd ring was a 10K nugget type ring. Man's, I would guess or possibly a corn fed woman. The last was also a nugget ring, but looks more like a woman's ring and it is 14K. I'M JUST ECSTATIC!
Was going to go back and do it again tonight, but I quit at 12A and worked today. I'm kinda tired. I shoulda went!

Great finds GH! I'm still waiting to find my first gold ring, much less 3 of them in the same hunt.

First off, I hope the Huntress's foot is doing OK now. Looks like you had a great hunt. The rings are super and the rest aren't bad for a lone Pirate without his first mate on the trip.HH

Thanks for inquiring PaPa. She had made a rack of pork ribs in the oven and was manuvering the pan, to take them out. The juice sloshed out on her foot and she got a blister. Thank goodness, she had on a sock and it did not get between her toes. Got her some Solarcane and it took the burn out. She's limping a little today, but it's MUCH better. Thanks again!

Last summer I found a mens stainless watch just like the one you found.
It also has a blue face and in poor condition too, thanks to the salt water. The maker is Moulin. I can't tell what yours is by the pics but,
It sure looks close.

Very nice man...very nice! Looks like things are picking up in a hurry for you there. Party on, Garth!
