Anyone have info on water/beach hunting in Trinidad/Tobago? Am going to wedding there and just wondering about legalities of water hunting tourist beaches. Any posts are appreciated.

humm im interested in knowing myself..maybe there will be an answer..:detecting:

Can't help with Nassau Bahamas, but Coco Cay is privately owned by the Royal Carribian Cruise lines. Visited there in 2008 and had a great time. Did not see anyone with a detector either place. I would call the cruise line for information.

Princess has their island Princess Cays, Detected there, St. Maartin, (2 times) St. Thomas (not allowed during daylight hours on one of the tourists beach Can't remember the name), Cozumel, Costa Maya and Grand Cayman. That was a few years back and I had no difficulty other than St. Thomas. No problem going after 5 PM but that's when the locals go. I would try to get something in writing from the Trinidad people.

Good luck!
