Tried something different Sunday....

The beaches around here are getting pounded by someone else before I can get to them. Most spots don't even give up 5 targets. The weather's starting to cool down up here. Between the lack of targets and the price of gas, I'm thinking about pulling the batteries from my CZ-20 and just sticking to the land until next year.

But, I had to try something that I thought of two weeks ago. I had found a river, downstream of the site of several mills, and the bottom surprisingly wasn't the usual large rocks. It was a mix of sand, gravel, and shells.

Sunday, I gave it a shot, hoping to find some neat relics or old coins. Unfortunately, all I managed to find was a couple pulltabs, and four zinc's.

I did learn one thing though. I'd definitely need to convert one of my sifters at home into a floating sifter. Luckily, that won't cost to much, just the price of a noodle, as I already have three sifters, and cable ties.
