Used my Safari on the beach here in Florida.I was on the beach less than 5 minutes and guy came up to me and ask me to find his wedding ring in the grass I did and found it for him he was happy. Went back to the beach and found pennies, nickels, dimes and quarters at up to 10 inches or more. Also found a watch. Trying to get use to the tones seems to false a little with sens.on auto lowered to 15.I like THE SAFARI better than my GT.

Sound great!! From what I gather, the sens works along with the noise cancel and when you noise cancel it adjusts the machine to the ground you are hunting. So if the machine auto tunes and sees little mineralization it would boost the sens to match. Good call on turning the sens down, just make sure you noise cancel when you make any adjustments to the machine. I'm having fun getting use to mine because the ground here is like a popscicle and frozen stiff!!!!!..........MO

Great job 1st time out. Good call on turning down the sensitivity, otherwise you may be digging targets down almost 2 ft. depending on their size. Just finding that mans wedding band makes it all worthwhile, not to mention keeps his marriage in good standing. Been in the single digits here in MA. I usually go to Cape Cod for some winter beach detecting, as the sand usually doesn't freeze. I'm glad the Safari made a good first impression, keep up the good finds. Ron :detecting:
