Good news and Badd news, Badd news 1st it does not like EMI I have a test bed buried over a 7,500volt power line and the 8" concentric outperformed the 8x11 but not by much neither could hit the 7" deep dime but i was able to get a dig gable signal on the 6" dime it was clipy, and short signal missing the fullness i got on the other dime buried in the other test bed away from EMI away from that power line it got slightly better depth and signal and it discriminated very well seems light and good build , i have more testing to do but like most detectors its going to suffer some depth loss around EMI but at least in the 0 to 5" range ate doing good it also gets great coverage at 4.5" deep almost the full 11" i found some deep brass with it on the ball field i stopped at pluss the grass was at least holding it up well over an inch will keep you up on continuing testing

will be doing more testing in days to come ,

I'm waiting for the 4 pin to arrive for my "V". I would have never picked up on the EMI since that isn't a problem where I hunt. The full coverage seems to be a bonus.. You mentioned something I forgot about, grass holding the larger coil up. That was a problem with the clean sweep coil.... And could cancel any possible depth increase... Let's see what happens when I hook up to the Vaquero. I am a bit disappointed you didn't see a depth increase like the TWO? inches in the video...Everything is a trade off.. We trade off money for ? The main question is very simple...Considering the price, the results, would you recommend this coil to someone who is using a Tesoro with a stock coil?

I was thinking there same thing.

lets see what happens when i bury a dime at 7" and 8 and i will know if it has better depth, in more mineralized ground its going to do better than the concentric .

.. . Coil came today.. Mailed Weds afternoon from California to Ohio. Fast !! Unfortunate problem that may have turned out well. It was a FIVE pin, my Vaquero takes Four. Larry was rushing to get it out.. I had a bunch of gals working for me one time, and told them the only people that don't screw up, are those doing nothing... Please read GET AN EXTRA INCH.

let us know when you get it how it is . also try some EMI situations

Gunnar, thanks for the initial review of this coil, had though about this could be a good move for one of my Tesoro machines, but i am starting too think although the coil ticks many of my boxes but i am starting to think this could be slightly to large for a stock coil replacement,it would only in my mind be good for open clear sites due to the larger size and the possibility of nulled signals especially on sites that do have some trash.

Then the renown Tesoro discrimination could give 'nulled' signals,of course not using this coil yet i cannot give a 1st hands experience in using it,but i have used many other similar size coils and they always tend to do the same nulling on trashy sites,on clear sites these size coil work a treat.Of course this is just my personal opinion but as yet the feedback has not tempted me to put my hand in my pocket to buy one.Could change though but i am a tight wad at the best of times :)

I have been using this new coil for about a week on my vaquero and friend has been trying it on his tejon. The soil where we live here in Colorado can very so much with mineralization we have found that the new coil is more consistent with seeing coins than the stock. Depth is about the same on both from what I'm seeing. To give an example of it seeing a coin some spots out here because of all the alkali you can through a coin down on the ground and the concentric coil won't even detect it. If your ordering a new tesoro than opt for on with the new coil cause the separation is better and depth about the same as stock. If you have a stock coil and live in higher mineralized areas than get the new coil. Lower mineralization than get the 5 X 10 or something if you want a dd coil

Welgund, thank you many times over. I have a verified loss of a $50 dollar slug in an area having alkaline conditions.. Several people told me to forget it, detector would not work.. Going to drive the 1200 miles either early Spring, or late Fall..
