I like, no love the Vaquero. I hunted around a house built in 1945 .Didn't find anything old , lots of clads . I found a lead split shot at at 12 inches deep I measured the depth. Most of the clads were at 8 to 10 inches deep, found out from the next door neighbor that fill dirt had been brought in many years ago, that explains the depth of the clads and no older coins, the Blackwidow headphones work great, this house is located in town by a lot of traffic , the headphones blocked out all the traffic noise, a lot like when you go into a sound proof room for a hearing test. Anyway I'm pleased with both the Vaquero and the Blackwidow headphones.

Glad you're enjoying both, and hope you find some good stuff. Dont give up on your yard as hunted out yet. I go over mine occasionally and still find stuff. Our old house was similar to yours in that we had fill dirt too. And, it was also the dump for the old house beside us. I would find the old one peice canning jar lids at the 8-12" mark.

To a quick trip to an old fair grounds that was covered up years ago. Never had any old finds there before, nailed a 1925 wheat and 1941 Nickel in just a few mins. The Wheat was 8" down and the nickel at 7 or so. Very impresses so far!
