Well, new to me but it's the exact same one that I have been using this last 15 years - Fisher 1266 X. I bought it from a private party on the east coast. It worked great & in new condition ! I have worn my old one out. Dug 65 coins today, no jewelry to speak of.
I figure why mess with things that are going well. A different detector might not work out, plus I know this one very well. Steve in so az

Nice going Steve. Those parks must be all hunted out with you pounding them for the last 15 years.

Use what you know and are good with! :) Congrats on the finds and the machine! :)

and in better shape too. Nothing like having a tried and true detector and having a newer one too - gives ya a back up if needed and ya already know how to use it well - no learning curve to deal with. Hopefully it is as good or better sensitivity-wise than the one so you find even more.

You're right...you can't beat the fun of hunting with an "old friend". I will always be learning the new SE...but I can also switch back to the CZ70..and I'm right at home.
Take care

I would have been excited!
