Went to a small park in my home town today.I was there about 45min.Had to dodge the rain drops. Thanks to every body who suggested this coil, very smooth and i love the feel of this coil.
I would like to thank Hillbilly bob and Steelheadfever for your chart on the pinpointing.I found my targets right on the front and back tips.
Found a few things plus some junk that i wont wast your time with.I think I'm going to like this coil.Have to try it at the beach.Hit the state park office today and got written permission to hunt three beaches inside the state park. There has been Spanish gold coins found on one of these beaches. If the weather holds out the kids,my girlfriend and i are going to try and hit one of them this weekend.Once again thanks for the help and i will post what i find.

I am glade you like that coil jog, I use it most of the time. It works well separating trash and still gives you plenty of coverage, and it just glides over the weeds and tall grass The only down fall with it is the depth you lose when using it, but who wants to dig deeper then 6" any way. I will rate it an a+ in my arsenal of coils........

Nice finds you made, great job.......:clapping:

Looks like you did great with your new coil and good luck with the beaches! WOW, that sounds like a lot of fun! Love to see nickels in the display. HH, Nancy

The 6X10 and new 10" DD coils do help handle our coastal beaches, to be sure. Best of success to you. Are you hitting some north coast beaches?

If you like the 6x10 wait until you try the 4x6 is is even better. You can't cover as much ground as fast but it is fantastic. I find that you can find even more because it will discriminate better. With the 6x10 I would get signals that were all over the place, with the 4x6 the same type of signal tells me that it is a small coin spill. I find that with the 4x6 I can get right next to a fence or a sidewalk and pick up a lot of items that I could not get with the 6x10 because with it you can't get that close to those types of areas.

They are both very good coils, when I hit a new area I will go over it with a 6x10 to cover the ground and find the hot spots, then I put the 4x6 on and go to town. The 4x6 is not that costly but I would look into it for the future.

Helping you is what this forum is all about HELPING OTHERS. I am glad you like the White's 6x10 DD coil as its a great coil and like Hillbilly Bob I to give it an A+. When you are ready for a smaller coil to work in the higher trashy areas check out the 6" DD Excelerator. Wish you success with you new toy. HH Dennis in Idaho

6x10 DD is a great coil. I primarily use it instead of the stock coil because of the target separation. Unless of course I am going to an area where I want a little more depth, and there is not a lot of targets in the ground, and then I use my stock coil. You should have great luck with this coil.

Does anybody know of a large reasonably priced coil that works well in high mineral soils.Am going to be looking for something that will cover a lot of ground, preferably at the beach.(MXT).I think that will be my next coil but not positive. There has been a lot of old shipwrecks off of these beaches.

Am going to be on beaches in Tillamook county Oregon.

I second everything posted. I really like this coil, also.

Sunday I went out with my 12" coil that came with the mtx300 because When I bought It i bought the 6 x 10 and just used it. I just bought my machine first of January. I hunted an old homestead and did everything in the relic mode. I found an old single blade axe head and half a horse shoe and alot of junk. I had a hard time finding coins. I had always found coins on previous hunts. I switched back to the 6 x 10 and it was like taking a lead weight off the end of my mxt. Boy that 12 coil is heavy it was a pleasure to get the 6 x 10 back on there. Then I found some coins later in the day. Not a good coin day though only found 14 cents.
