Tried out my CZ 70 PRO

I'm new to metal detecting.I had a Tesoro Vaquero last summer and wasn't real impressed.Bought a CZ 70 Pro last winter.I finally got out to an old drive-inn theater.There was a guy there hunting with a Prism.I parked on the other side of the theater and ground balanced my detector.He came over to tell me he had hunted there before I got there.I promptly dug 2 old dimes,4 pennies and a small silver ring while he watched.He got upset and left.I only had a 1/2 hour to hunt.For my first time out with the CZ I really like it.

I have a CZ-70 too. Been hunting a little over a year and love it. I found out that some of the more expierienced guys don't allways send you in the right direction. At least in my neck of the woods. The people on this and other forums have been great. Enjoy that 70 and pick up a small coil for it and hit those trashy areas.

unfortunately, there are some TH'ers that do not like competition. They will do things to discourage you. Ignore them. You will want to get the 5" "hockey puck" and use it in the trashy areas. It's killer in those environments.

In the next day or 2 I'm going to order a small coil for my 70 and my new CZ3D.I just got permission to hunt an old school grounds in my little hometown.The school was torn down in the 60's I think.
