tried out my ace 150:twodetecting:

detectorace

New member
hi i finaly got out again on sunday to try out your advices, wow, that sure made a diffrence:clapping:
i searced my garden, only a part of it since it's fairly big.
althoug i didden't find anything of value i had a lot of practising and i'm very impressed with the ace
i found a lot of rusted nails some old window hinges and some foil.
i didn't pay much attention to the depht (i mostly forgot)but i found the pin pointing trick with the 150 was
not so difficult as i thought,i did fairly good after a while.
i hunted in all metall mode with sensitivity on 2 bars (4 bars on the 150)and used the bullseye pinpointer
to search in the holes, the ace signaled on fairly small targes like parts of rusted nails only about 1 cm i length
thats were he bullseye came in,they were easy to miss.
i'm going to search my entire garden ,my house was build in 1907 by my grandfathers father and the family has lived
there since.
my plans for now regarding metalldetectors is to by a ace 250 and use it as a backup and since theese or very light and
dont take a lot of room i'm going to bring them with me in my boat in the summertime, there is a lot of islands wrer im living
and also a lot of bunkers from the war.
first the ace 250 and when i master theese to completly i migth buy the 1350 i'm also wondering about the sun ray invader,
after reading uncle bills test report and my use of the bullseye.
would love to have some more input from you all especially my plans about detector purchases.
greetings from norway:garrett:rules

Did you mean use the Ace 150 as a back up? I'd use the Ace 250 for my main MD if I were you.
You'll see a vast difference.

Happy Hunting.

hi robert roy,i only have the ace 150 and i was wondering to by the ace 250 and use it as a main since i have bought a lot of gear that fits both
the 150 and 250 it will also allow me to bring some company.
the reason i bought the ace 150 was that i wasen't sure this was something for me,so i woulden't buy tha most expencive one to begin with.

yes uncle willy,it's going to be the yellar fellar ace 250 .both because i have a lot of equipment for the aces and it suits my needs:clapping:
i just ordered the lower stem with hardware and my next buy is the sniper coil.
the reason i was wondering about the 1350(still wondering:blink:) is because i like to buy the sun ray probe and it fits both the1350 and the aces.
i think it could be smart if i can use the same equipment on several detectors, not to mention cheaper
i'm going to learn the 150 real good and then order the 250 and use that as the main detector and the 150 as backup.
i was planning to use the 1350 for some relic hunting later, but i still have a lot to learn ,and by the time my knowlegde has grown i may have decided for somthing
better,but we will se.
one thing is for sure, and that is that i'm a:garrett:man:thumbup:
feel free to give any kind of advices since i'm kind of unexperienced at this for the moment(thats an understatement)
best recards to you bill and i hope you get well soon.
greetings from norway
