Just breathe slow and deep. Talk when you are ready.

Have you re-gained your breath yet Gunnar???----It's SO GOOD, that's the way it is with all of us--everytime we use the G2/GB, we are just speechless!!!!

I was biased against high khz machines, but when i heard it hit the nickle V,s pull tab the difrenc smaked you in the face this thing will hit hard on gold , i did a little search around a trashy foundation and it pickd all kinds of non iron targets out , one a shot gun BB 1/8" in diameter rang in nice and clear and the low grunts on the iron along with the VDI wow you could tell what it was and how big then when yu hit a copper thing it just lets you know this thing will bring returns beond my wildest hopes. have to do some vidios on this one

lol  you are funny Gunnar. When you re-gain your speech and get your thoughts together, grab your video camera, narrate the video and show us what you are speechless about. I am interested in your review. ( And I am sure many others are interested in your thoughts on the Gold Bug as well ) - Jim

Glad to hear you love it! I hope you have great luck with it! (I have) I keep looking at the higher end line and want one but cant give up the bug. And cant imagine a more capable jewelry machine.
I wont hunt anything else any more I like the gold tooooo much. I kinda stopped posting my finds but when I get back home in a week, I'll post. Thank you all you coin hunters that notch those tab signals.LOL
This last week has been good!
Be Good!

:poke: its funny but those tab signals have all been tabs for waaaaaayyyyyyyyy to long but hey when the run starts maybe I'll need a bucket :wiggle:that just doesn't sound right for some reason

Hey BlankPlanet
The reason I say tab Signals is this ring I just got came in right at 63 I hit allot of tabs as well but every bazillion or so I get a ring! :heh: It tested at 22k 8 grams and was about four inches down.
The bracelet hit at 60! It's 4.7 grams 22k and 3 inches down. I've seen two other guys at this park both in the tot lot where the bracelet came from and the volleyball court where the gold Mary pendant came from and the V3I guy was working the field right where I found the ring. If you want gold you have to dig those Vdi's close to the tabs.
I'm  all the way to the bank. :poke:
Good luck out with that bucket:wiggle:

godigit1 thanks for the motivation to keep at the tabs, i know the bug will find the good stuff but those tabs get a bit depressing after a while but like you have shown it will do the business on the gold, well done! :clapping: and the gold is there because the pull tabs sort the gold hunters from the coin shooters

go the bug that's all i can say :wiggle:

That's some great gold, godigit. I commend you on your persistence. I simply do NOT have the patience to look for gold at trashy parks...every time I try it, I come home with nothing but foil, pull tabs, square tabs, and can slaw! :surrender: Patience is not my strong suit! :) When I jewelry hunt, I try it at less "trashy" spots...

Hopefully, patience comes with age, such that when I retire and have more time, I can do more jewelry hunting!

unfortunitly our advisary the deval envented or inspired the pull tab to keep us frustrated, so we with sweat have to till the ground with toyl digging tabs to find that nice gold , I agree with godigit i look for tabs becauaes thats whear gold is at .

I feel you guys I still get pretty frustrated I'm used to disappointment. I spent most of my detecting time in the gold Fields and finding every piece of micro trash you could think off only to come home empty handed. That being said my hunting style fit right in with the bug and micro jewelry hunting. I started finding more gold in the parks than I ever did prospecting with a detector.
Location is very important and one thing I do that might help you guys out if you don't already do it is. I search Google earth for the parks looking for volley ball courts first (I love volley ball courts) then I look at the surrounding neighborhood and start with the parks in the richest well kept neighborhoods. I'm not concentrating on coins so the parks don't have to be old. The other thing I hate to say is race specific but certain peoples really like their bling and on their kids too. When at the parks pay attention to the patterns of use. Where the soccer games are where they set their bags and so forth, chances are these patterns have been happening for years.
This gold came from a wealthy Indian (with a dot) area in The Silicone Valley.
These criteria seem to be working for my area but you will need to pick your own search perimeters tell you find whats works in your area.
Good luck out there!
Jim

That was funny, Gunnar! :) Good one...

Jim --

I have thought many of the things you mentioned. I do tend to do better in volleyball courts (much less trash, and usually at least some junk jewelry); I also have thought about the "richer neighborhood" parks thing, also -- but haven't really pursued that. I think I will, now...you have inspired me! :) Finally, soccer fields are ALSO on my list of places to try, though many here are locked whenever no games are in progress. Most soccer fields here do NOT have bleachers, so folks bring blankets and lawn chairs, and line the sidelines. I would expect this area to be trashy, but also have a concentration of lost jewelry...

Good things to ponder, for sure...

Steve
