After finding that the e-trac will actually hit targets right next to iron and trash I went to a site that keeps the e=trac in a constant null. I had never pulled a coin from this spot and only one keeper. The place is old and the dirt is full of old junk iron and odds and ends. I did managed once to pull a silver watch fob out but that's all i had ever found there.
I just knew there was stuff there but due to the butt load of iron and junk it couldn't get the goods not even with my id-excel and the 8 inch coil.
Well i used my tight disc pattern on the e-trac turned up the sense to 24 and turned the tone to long and started hunting. After about 30 minutes i finally got a hit that was better than the rest but hard as heck to get it to be solid and consistent. I dug down about 6 inches after the horrible attempt to pinpoint and pulled a another watch fob. It says 1909 was new Orleans on the front and on the back it says compliments of Woodward & wight co. new Orleans.
so then i started hunting some more and a few junk digs later i got another funky but worth digging sound and pulled a large token that has heads on one side a tails on the other. its kind of cool cause on the heads side it has a man and woman walking and the man is a little behind the woman. The tails side shoes the back of the couple walking and the man has his hand lifting up the woman's dress till you can see her butt.
next about 3 feet away i had a signal that was really bad. I mean it sounded horrible and the cross hairs jumped up and down the screen reading iron and falses but i dug. After a few minutes of fighting a root i pulled a nail that was at least 8 inches long and was bent some with about an inch of rust around it. OK i just waisted my time so i checked the hole and got a hit but it was still junky but i pulled a little more dirt out and found a small nail. one more time i checked and the e-trac sang loud that a penny was there and low and behold down in the bottom near the side was a 1912 wheat.
well i ended up by the time i was done getting another wheat and some other relics.
I can say that iv become really good with this e-trac not as good as some but better than i was 3 month es ago.
